A visit to the Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh is a moving experience. Over 1.5m people died in the so-called Killing Fields during the Khmer Rouge regime under Pol Pot from 1975-79. Although disturbing, it is an opportunity to pay respects to all those who suffered during this dark time in Cambodia’s past.
